'Debt Recoveries' can assist with the issue of any necessary Court Action, by drafting all the appropriate Court Forms, and arranging for the issue of the Proceedings.
However, in the event a Defendant defends any case, then this case then becomes a contested case.
A Defendant may contest a case for a number of reasons, sometimes legitimately, sometimes not: he may have a genuine argument, but more often than not he may be trying to buy time, or simply put off the evil day.
In either event, the fact the Court case has become contested invariably makes the case more protracted and involved.
In cases where the sum involved is less than £5000, the Courts cant award legal costs to a winning party, so in these cases, 'Debt Recoveries' offer a fixed cost in house litigation support service for £200. This modest sum covers all matters, from the drafting of any necessary Reply to the Defence, to completion of the allocation questionnaire, to drafting all necessary witness statements and your List of Documents. However, it should be noted that 'support' does not mean 'Debt Recoveries' act for you nor that we will attend Court.
In cases where the sum involved exceeds £5000, the Courts can award costs to a winning party, so in these cases you have two choices: 'Debt Recoveries' still offer a fixed cost in house litigation support service, or we can refer your case to external Specialist Litigation lawyers with whom we have close links. They will act for you. They will attend Court. They normally charge by the hour. The choice will always be yours.
